Answer:The cleaning wire kit is specified for nebulizers associated with Agilent Mark V, Mark VI and Mark 7 spray chambers.
Answer:The kit contains three cleaning wires, each measuring 0.3 m in length.
Answer:No. It is a cleaning tool for appropriate passages; cracked, worn or irreversibly blocked components may require replacement.
The Agilent nebulizer cleaning wire kit is a maintenance tool for compatible atomic absorption nebulizer assemblies used with Mark V, Mark VI and Mark 7 spray chambers. Three lengths of cleaning wire, each 0.3 m long, are supplied to assist with removal of deposits from suitable nebulizer passages. Restricted aspiration or unstable nebulization can impair aerosol formation, reduce analytical sensitivity and increase signal variation during flame atomic absorption measurement. Cleaning should be attempted only when mechanical wire cleaning is specified for the particular passage and component. This kit is not a replacement nebulizer, spray chamber or capillary tube and cannot repair physical wear or corrosion. Before servicing, shut down the flame, depressurize gas and liquid lines and inspect the nebulizer for damage. Use gentle controlled cleaning without enlarging the capillary opening, and rinse away dislodged material with compatible solvent or water. After reassembly, verify aspiration, drainage and response using a blank and calibration standard. Persistent performance problems may require replacement of the affected nebulizer.
