Answer:The kit includes one 1/4-inch single-position connecting unit and two carrier-gas purifier cartridges.
Answer:The purification system reduces trace oxygen, moisture and organic contaminants in suitable inert GC carrier gas.
Answer:No. It is designed for gas-line purification upstream of a gas chromatograph.
The Agilent Gas Clean Carrier Gas Purifier Kit is a gas-line purification assembly for supplying clean carrier gas to compatible gas chromatography systems. The kit contains two Gas Clean carrier-gas purifier cartridges and a single-position connecting unit with 1/4-inch fittings. Carrier-gas contaminants such as moisture, oxygen and organic compounds can increase column bleed, accelerate stationary-phase damage and interfere with sensitive GC detection. The purifiers remove trace contaminants from an otherwise suitable inert carrier-gas supply before the gas enters the analytical system. Correct fitting size, flow direction and leak-tight installation are critical to prevent introducing contamination during service. The kit is intended for carrier-gas treatment rather than liquid filtration or chemical sample cleanup. The connecting unit holds a single purifier position; the second supplied purifier can support cartridge replacement on the laboratory maintenance schedule. Select the assembly against the gases and pressure conditions supported by the instrument's gas-supply design.
