Answer:The rotary gas sampling valve has ten ports and a specified maximum operating temperature of 225 °C.
Answer:The valve assembly is identified as Nitronic 60 and is intended for compatible Agilent 8860 and 7820 GC configurations.
Answer:No. Rotor and valve generations must match; the newer ten-port valve has a dedicated corresponding rotor.
The Agilent ten-port gas sampling valve is a replacement rotary valve assembly for supported 8860 and 7820 gas chromatographs. The valve uses Nitronic 60 construction and has a stated maximum operating temperature of 225 °C. Ten-port switching supports configured gas sampling, stream selection, loop handling or multidimensional flow arrangements where the application and plumbing have been validated. A ten-port valve must be matched to the correct rotor, actuation hardware and port-routing diagram. The corresponding current valve rotor is different from the older WE-series ten-port rotor, so valve generation and rotor identification are essential when ordering service parts. Installation should follow the GC valve maintenance procedure with power and gas supplies safely isolated. Inspect tubing fittings, sealing faces and actuating components; do not force the valve with incorrectly aligned parts. After installation, leak-check the valve and confirm the intended sample and carrier-gas flow paths under each switching state. Application pressure limits depend on the complete valve configuration and should not be inferred solely from the valve temperature rating.
