Answer:No. It uses a nonadhesive silicone-based sealing surface.
Answer:No. It is not an optical seal and is unsuitable for real-time PCR detection through the film.
Answer:The package contains 50 individual sealing films.
Microseal A is a nonadhesive, silicone-based sealing film for compatible PCR plates and tube formats during conventional thermal cycling. The compliant sealing surface conforms to vessel openings to limit evaporation and sample loss during repeated temperature changes. When used with an appropriate heated-lid thermal cycler, it helps maintain a sealed reaction environment without adding an oil or wax overlay. The removable liner protects the contacting surface before application, and the film releases without the adhesive characteristics of common optical plate seals. This product is intended for conventional PCR work, including low-volume amplification, rather than fluorescence measurements through the seal. It is not an optical sealing film for real-time PCR and is not designed for cold-storage sealing. Position the film carefully over the vessels before running the instrument and use a compatible plate or tube geometry. The supply contains 50 nonadhesive sealing films, not a roll of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.
