Cytiva Q Sepharose Fast Flow is a strong anion-exchange chromatography resin for the capture and intermediate purification of proteins and related biomolecules. This pack contains 300 mL of loose resin formed from crosslinked agarose beads carrying quaternary ammonium exchange groups. Under suitable pH and conductivity conditions, negatively charged molecules interact with the positively charged stationary phase and can be eluted using a salt gradient or adjusted buffer chemistry. Its robust agarose matrix supports process development and downstream purification procedures where dynamic capacity, flow characteristics and cleaning performance are assessed. The resin may be used in packed columns, but the pack does not include a preassembled or prepacked column. Establish binding conditions empirically for the target protein and the composition of the sample feed. Control packing uniformity, operating pressure and cleaning-in-place conditions during repeated use. This strong anion exchanger is different from MabSelect SuRe Protein A affinity resin and from Sepharose size-exclusion media.
