Answer:Strong cation exchange chromatography for protein intermediate purification and polishing.
Answer:1 L of bulk Capto SP ImpRes chromatography resin, not a prepacked column.
Answer:The ImpRes version uses a smaller particle size to emphasize high-resolution separations while retaining Capto process chromatography characteristics.
Cytiva Capto SP ImpRes is a strong cation exchange chromatography resin supplied in a 1 L pack for intermediate protein purification and high-resolution polishing. Its sulfopropyl (SP) functional group provides strong cation-exchange chemistry, while the Capto high-flow agarose base matrix and smaller particle size are designed to combine resolving power with process-relevant flow performance. The resin is suitable for separating protein species or charged variants when buffer pH and conductivity are adjusted to control adsorption and elution. The ImpRes grade differs from conventional Capto S in particle size and intended high-resolution performance. Columns packed with this medium can be used in method development, optimization and scalable downstream processing, with operating pressure and bed height selected for the equipment and packing procedure. The 1 L product is loose chromatography resin; no prepacked column or complete purification system is included. Appropriate resin preparation, equilibration, cleaning and performance testing are integral to consistent process results.
