The Cytiva BPG 450/500 Glass Chromatography Column Tube is a replacement cylindrical tube for a BPG column with a 450 mm nominal internal diameter and 500 mm tube length. It provides the main transparent column body surrounding the packed resin bed during preparative liquid chromatography. The glass construction permits visual inspection of resin distribution, packed bed uniformity and visible process abnormalities while the matched adapter and end assemblies provide the fluid connections and sealing interfaces. Tube replacement may be needed after mechanical damage or when rebuilding an existing BPG column with the corresponding bed-height configuration. Inspect the new glass carefully before installation and use the correct gaskets, mechanical supports and assembly procedures. Never apply pressure to a damaged or improperly supported column tube. The package contains a replacement tube, not a fully assembled or prepacked column. The 450 mm diameter is distinct from the BPG 300/500 and BPG 140/500 replacement tubes.
