The Cytiva Superloop 50 mL sample injection device enables controlled loading of relatively large sample volumes into compatible ÄKTA chromatography flow paths. Its movable internal plunger separates the sample from the system driving liquid, allowing the instrument pump to displace sample toward a packed column without direct mixing of the two liquids. The 50 mL unit is supplied with 1/16-inch fittings and connection accessories for ÄKTA-style systems. The device contains wetted components including borosilicate glass and PEEK, and has a maximum operating pressure of 40 bar under specified conditions. Sample transfers and tubing priming should be planned to minimize air bubbles and to avoid unintended dilution near the beginning or end of an injection. Check plunger movement, seals, tubing connections, and system pressure before a run. Clean between samples using solutions compatible with the wetted materials. A Superloop is a sample-loading accessory, not a prepacked chromatographic separation column.
