The Cytiva XK 16 accessory kit provides spare components needed to service or repack 16 mm internal-diameter XK chromatography columns. The kit contains two support screens, five 10 µm net rings, two O-rings, two stop plugs, ten 1/16-inch male tubing connectors for ÄKTA system connections, and one dismantling tool. These parts address different maintenance functions: support screens and net rings help retain resin within the column, O-rings contribute to sealing, and connectors restore the intended fluid-path interfaces. Inspect the glass tube, adapter, and bottom piece before repacking, then replace worn components without mixing them with XK 26 or XK 50 variants. During assembly, keep the bed-support surfaces clean and correctly seated to avoid channeling, leaks, or resin loss. Establish the required packed bed height and verify column performance after assembly and equilibration.
