The Cytiva ÄKTApilot column tubing kit provides dedicated tubing and connectors for connecting chromatography columns within an ÄKTApilot flow path. The kit incorporates tubing with a 2.9 mm internal diameter and 5/16 inch connection hardware. Its component set includes ETFE S8 tubing, PEEK connectors, and the associated gasket and O-ring sealing parts. Proper column tubing selection helps limit leakage, unwanted dead volume, and mismatched flow-path dimensions during pilot-scale protein purification. Install the kit with the chromatography system depressurized and verify that each connector matches its assigned port. Avoid twisting or sharply bending tubing, and check that sealing surfaces are clean before tightening. After assembly, prime the flow path and confirm expected backpressure and leak-free operation at the intended method conditions.
