Answer:2 µm particles in a 2.1 mm internal-diameter by 100 mm long column.
Answer:Reversed-phase retention on an octadecyl-bonded C18 silica stationary phase.
Answer:No. It is a packed analytical HPLC column with compatible 1/16-inch end fittings.
The GL Sciences InertSustain C18 HPLC Column is a high-efficiency reversed-phase analytical column packed with 2 µm octadecyl-bonded silica particles. Its 2.1 mm internal diameter and 100 mm length support small-bore separations with reduced mobile-phase consumption and sensitivity suitable for compatible LC-MS and UV methods. The inert stationary-phase surface helps reduce undesirable interactions with selected acidic, basic and neutral compounds, while the fine particles support sharp chromatographic peaks. Use the column with a low-dead-volume LC system, compatible 1/16-inch connection hardware and a pump capable of meeting the method's pressure demand. Appropriate sample filtration and upstream protection reduce fouling of the inlet frit. Equilibrate after mobile-phase changes, and observe the validated solvent and pH limits for the stationary phase. This product is a complete packed C18 analytical column, not a guard-column cartridge or a different GL Sciences silica phase.
