Answer:This configuration contains 25 g.
Answer:The acidimetric assay is at least 98.5% on an anhydrous basis.
Answer:The CAS number is 5808-22-0.
Chromotropic acid disodium salt dihydrate is an aromatic disulfonate reagent supplied for analytical use at ACS and Reag. Ph Eur quality. This 25 g configuration has an acidimetric assay of at least 98.5% on an anhydrous basis and a molecular weight of 400.29 g/mol. The solid ranges from grayish white to brownish white and contains approximately 8.5–9.5% water by Karl Fischer analysis. Chromotropic acid is used in colorimetric chemistry, including reactions for formaldehyde and nitrate sensitivity testing. In strongly acidic conditions, formaldehyde can react with chromotropic acid to produce a colored species suitable for photometric determination. The material is stored at 2–30 °C. Its defined analytical grade and compendial quality make it useful for controlled analytical and laboratory reagent preparation.
