Answer:It is also known as ferric ammonium sulfate or iron alum.
Answer:The assay is 99.0–102.0% by iodometric determination.
Answer:It is EMSURE analytical grade meeting ACS, ISO and Reag. Ph Eur requirements.
Ammonium iron(III) sulfate dodecahydrate is an analytical-grade ferric ammonium sulfate supplied in EMSURE® quality. This 500 g pack meets ACS, ISO and Reag. Ph Eur specifications and has an assay of 99.0–102.0% by iodometric determination. The salt, also known as iron alum, provides a defined source of Fe(III) for analytical reagent preparation, titrimetric and redox procedures, and other laboratory methods that specify ferric ammonium sulfate. The product specification controls insoluble matter, chloride, nitrate and multiple trace metals to support reproducible analytical use. A 100 g/L aqueous solution has a listed pH of about 1.8, reflecting the acidic character of ferric sulfate solutions.
