Answer:Each aluminum-backed sheet measures 20 × 20 cm and has an approximately 200 µm silica gel 60 F254 coating.
Answer:The fluorescent indicator enables visualization of suitable UV-absorbing analytes under 254 nm UV light.
Answer:Each package contains 25 aluminum-backed silica gel TLC sheets.
Merck Silica Gel 60 F254 TLC Aluminum Sheets provide a pre-coated thin-layer chromatography medium for separation and visualization of organic compounds. Each flexible aluminum-backed sheet measures 20 × 20 cm and carries a silica gel 60 layer approximately 200 µm thick with an F254 fluorescent indicator. The indicator permits visualization of UV-absorbing spots against a fluorescent background under 254 nm illumination after development. A polymeric binder supports coating adhesion when the sheets are cut or handled. The pack contains 25 sheets, suitable for routine qualitative TLC separations, solvent-system screening and reaction monitoring. These sheets are analytical TLC plates rather than preparative columns; solvent selection and detection must be appropriate for the analyte.
