Answer:The working volume is up to 500 µL.
Answer:Each device uses regenerated cellulose with a nominal 10 kDa cutoff.
Answer:The package contains 24 non-sterile centrifugal filters.
Amicon® Ultra Centrifugal Filter, 10 kDa MWCO is designed for concentrating and exchanging the buffer of small-volume macromolecular samples by centrifugation. Each 0.5 mL device contains an Ultracel regenerated-cellulose membrane with a nominal 10 kDa cutoff and 1 cm² effective filtration area. The working volume is up to 500 µL, making this format appropriate for small protein samples and other solutions containing macromolecules that need to be retained during solvent removal. The polypropylene tube and cap, regenerated-cellulose membrane and styrene-butadiene housing define the materials in contact with the filtration assembly. Solvent and sufficiently small dissolved species pass into the filtrate while the retained fraction remains available for recovery. The device is supplied non-sterile and is designed for laboratory protein extraction and purification workflows. This exact pack contains 24 devices, in contrast to the larger bulk configuration of the same membrane chemistry and cutoff. The 10 kDa rating is a nominal membrane characteristic and does not establish identical recovery for every protein or sample formulation.
