Answer:It uses an Ultracel® regenerated cellulose membrane with a 3 kDa molecular-weight cutoff.
Answer:Each device can process up to 15 mL.
Answer:No. It is intended for one-time use.
Amicon® Ultra Centrifugal Filter, 3 kDa MWCO is used for concentrating and buffer-exchanging macromolecular samples by centrifugal ultrafiltration. This 15 mL device uses an Ultracel® regenerated cellulose membrane with a 3 kDa molecular-weight cutoff and 7.6 cm² filtration area. It can process up to 15 mL per device and is designed for concentration of dilute or pre-purified proteins, desalting, buffer exchange and related protein sample-preparation workflows. The vertical membrane design reduces concentration polarization and supports fast spin processing, while a physical dead-stop helps prevent the sample from spinning to dryness. Retentate recovery is greater than 90% for appropriate macromolecules, and concentration factors of approximately 80–100× can be achieved. Construction includes a regenerated cellulose membrane and support, polypropylene tube, polyethylene cap and liner, and styrene-butadiene housing. The devices are non-sterile and intended for single use. This pack contains 96 centrifugal filter units.
