As a workaround for these samples, you can deplete RBC using Red Blood Cell Lysis Solution (10×) (# 130-094-183) and subsequently either the Cell Suspension Cleanup Kit, human, to deplete dead cell and organelles, or, if only dead cells shall be removed, the Dead Cell Removal Kit.
Background information
The Cell Suspension Cleanup Kit, human, is designed to accurately remove dead cells and cell-free organelles such as cell-free nuclei and cell-free mitochondria, reducing unwanted background signals and improving genomic results. In addition, the cleanup cocktails also remove red blood cells (RBCs) to further improve sequencing coverage without the need for harsh ammonium chloride-based RBC lysis solutions that tend to have a negative impact on the cellular stress gene response. Notably, this kit provides gentle yet effective isolation of target cells improving cell integrity for downstream applications such as single-cell RNA sequencing and many other downstream applications.
