Description
15642-1-AP targets AID in WB, IF-P, ELISA applications and shows reactivity with human, mouse samples.
Tested Applications
Positive WB detected in: MG-63 cells, Ramos cells, THP-1 cells, U2OS cells, NIH/3T3 cells
Positive IF-P detected in: human tonsillitis tissue
Recommended dilution
Western Blot (WB): WB : 1:500-1:3000
Immunofluorescence (IF)-P: IF-P : 1:50-1:500
Background Information
AID is essential to all three genetic alterations required for antigen-specific immunoglobulin: class switch recombination (CSR), somatic bypermutation (SHM), and gene conversion. Expression of AID is normally restricted to B cells in the GC, where SHM and CSR occur. It is likely these represent AID monomer and homodimer that western blot detected two bands in purified AID from nuclear extracts, one at 52 kDa and the other at 26 kDa. (PMID:16280388)
