Tested Applications
Positive WB detected in: HepG2 cells, L02 cells
Positive IHC detected in: mouse kidney tissueNote: suggested antigen retrieval withTE buffer pH 9.0;(*) Alternatively, antigen retrieval may be performed withcitrate buffer pH 6.0
Positive IF/ICC detected in: A549 cells
Recommended dilution
Western Blot (WB): WB : 1:1000-1:4000
Immunohistochemistry (IHC): IHC : 1:50-1:500
Immunofluorescence (IF)/ICC: IF/ICC : 1:200-1:800
Background Information
ACOT4, also known as PET2B and PTEIB, is an acyl-CoA thioesterases which catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to the free fatty acid and coenzyme A (CoASH), regulating their respective intracellular levels. ACOT4 has the strongest expression in liver and kidney and weaker expression in placenta, heart, and muscle(PMID: 16940157).
