QIAGEN GelPilot DNA Loading Dye is a 5× concentrated loading buffer for preparing DNA samples for agarose gel electrophoresis. The formulation contains three tracking dyes—bromophenol blue, xylene cyanol and orange G—to help visualize migration progress at different positions during a gel run. Mix one part of the 5× dye with four parts of a DNA sample to achieve a 1× working concentration before loading. The pack contains six 500 µL aliquots, supporting repeated electrophoresis experiments. This is a sample-loading reagent rather than a DNA fragment size ladder or a fluorescent nucleic acid stain.
