Answer:It measures 30 m × 0.53 mm internal diameter with a 0.25 µm stationary-phase film.
Answer:Rtx-1701 has a more polar cyano/phenyl-containing phase and can provide a different elution order from Rtx-5.
Answer:Organic solvents, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and fragrance compounds are among its GC application areas.
Restek Rtx-1701 is a midpolarity fused-silica GC capillary column with a 30 m length, 0.53 mm internal diameter and a 0.25 µm bonded stationary-phase film. Cyano- and phenyl-functional groups provide selectivity distinct from nonpolar Rtx-1 or Rtx-5 phases, making Rtx-1701 useful as a complementary column in confirmatory separations. Applications include organic solvents, pesticides, pharmaceutical compounds and fragrance constituents. The wide-bore format changes gas flow, loading and efficiency requirements compared with narrower 0.25 mm columns. Restek specifies a temperature range of −20 to 270/280 °C for this configuration. The low-bleed stationary phase can support sensitive detection, including electron-capture and mass spectrometric instruments, when properly configured and maintained.
