The Restek FID ignitor provides an ignition component for compatible flame ionization detectors in gas chromatography systems. It is intended for Agilent 5890, 6890, 7890 and 8890 FID assemblies and also fits the OI Analytical 4410 detector. The ignitor helps initiate the hydrogen–air flame used by the detector during operation. Routine replacement can be necessary when the ignition component becomes damaged or no longer performs reliably. This is a detector-specific spare part, not a complete flame ionization detector, jet or gas supply assembly. Confirm that the installed detector uses the compatible ignitor arrangement before service.
