Restek Allure PFP Propyl is an analytical HPLC column using a pentafluorophenyl-propyl bonded stationary phase on high-surface-area Type B silica. The column measures 150 × 4.6 mm, with 5 µm spherical particles and 60 Å pores. PFP selectivity adds aromatic, dipolar and steric interactions that complement conventional hydrophobic reversed-phase retention. The endcapped silica phase has a pH operating range of 2.5–8 and a maximum temperature of 80 °C. This 60 Å phase should not be confused with wide-pore PFP products designed for larger biomolecules. It is suited to small-molecule selectivity studies, including analytes that are difficult to resolve on C18 alone.
