Answer:It is designed for anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants.
Answer:It is 4.6 mm × 250 mm and contains 5 µm particles.
Answer:The column is specified for pH 2.5–7.5.
Acclaim™ Surfactant HPLC Column, 4.6 × 250 mm, 5 µm is used for chromatographic separation of anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants. The specialty silica-based stationary phase supports HPLC analysis with UV-Vis, evaporative light-scattering, refractive-index, and compatible charged-aerosol workflows. This analytical column contains spherical, fully porous 5 µm ultrapure silica with 120 Å pores and a proprietary endcapped stationary phase. The 250 mm length provides strong resolving power for mixtures containing surfactants with very different ionic characteristics. The column operates from pH 2.5–7.5, supports temperatures up to 60°C, and has a maximum pressure of 5500 psi. It is particularly useful for detergent, personal-care, industrial, environmental, and formulation analysis where conventional reversed-phase columns do not provide adequate selectivity across multiple surfactant classes.
