The Thermo Scientific Orion reference electrode filling solution replenishes the reference half-cell used in compatible Orion low-level sodium analyzers. It is supplied as five 60 mL bottles for the Orion reference electrode arrangement, including the ROSS Ultra reference electrode used with the 2111LL system. A properly filled reference electrode maintains the ionic contact required for stable potentiometric sodium measurements. Inadequate filling, air bubbles, a restricted junction, or contamination can cause slow response and unstable readings that are easily mistaken for a sodium electrode defect. Stop the analyzer's air-pump operation before disconnecting the filling-solution bottle. Inspect the electrode sidearm and connection tubing, fill the reference chamber without trapping bubbles, and confirm normal junction flow during recommissioning. This consumable is the reference electrolyte only; it does not include the sodium-sensing electrode, reference electrode body, or complete maintenance kit.
