Fluke Fluid, Silicone OilSilicone oil is used as a calibration media in temperature-controlled baths. Different types of silicone oil are chosen for specific temperature ranges based on their viscosity at those temperatures. They have good thermal characteristics and low flammability.

• FlashPoint: 232°CAtmospheric pressure affects the usable range of some fluids. The temperatures quoted are at sea level. Flashpoint is the temperature at which a vapour (not the fluid) will ignite if exposed to an open flame. When the flame is removed, the vapour will stop burning. (Open cup method).
