Application Note

CD OptiCHO™ AGT™ Medium is a dry-format, chemically defined medium for suspension culture of recombinant Chinese hamster ovary cells in fed-batch bioprocessing. This configuration reconstitutes to 100 L. The formulation is serum-free, protein-free, and animal-origin free and is supplied as Advanced Granulation Technology powder for convenient large-volume medium preparation. It contains high glucose, sodium pyruvate, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium, and sodium phosphate, while glutamine and phenol red are not included. The medium is designed to support strong CHO cell growth and recombinant-protein production while reducing variability associated with undefined serum or protein components. It does not support wild-type DG44 cells. Store the dry product at 2–8 °C in dark, dry conditions until reconstitution.
