Answer:The polyimide liner is specified for interfacing 530 µm (0.53 mm) capillary GC columns.
Answer:It is used in W-series valve capillary-column interface plumbing rather than as a standard split/splitless GC inlet liner.
Answer:No. Select the liner for the actual capillary-column diameter and matching connection hardware.
The Agilent 530 µm capillary column interface liner is a polyimide fitting component for connecting a suitable wide-bore GC capillary column to W-series rotary valve plumbing. It is intended for the capillary-column-to-valve interface rather than the heated injection port of a standard split/splitless GC inlet. The liner supports installation of a 0.53 mm nominal inner-diameter capillary column in an interface designed around the corresponding fittings and transfer line. A correct interface helps maintain the intended flow path and prevent leakage at small-bore tubing connections. Before assembly, verify the valve series, capillary-column diameter and accompanying union, nut and ferrule specifications. Use a clean, squarely cut column end and the recommended liner installation tool; avoid crushing the polyimide component or damaging the fused silica. Leak-check and confirm correct flow routing after assembly. Do not substitute the 320 µm version for a 530 µm connection without an approved change in the connection design. This component is a GC valve plumbing liner, not a sample vaporization inlet liner.
