The PTFE solvent-inlet frit adapter is a connection component for a glass solvent bottle inlet filter in compatible Agilent liquid chromatography systems. It fits 1/8 inch (approximately 3.2 mm) outer-diameter solvent tubing and is supplied in a pack of four. The adapter is intended for the Agilent 20 µm glass solvent inlet filter, allowing the filter to be attached to the solvent line of the bottle-head assembly. Correct inlet hardware supports clean solvent uptake and helps maintain reliable pump priming. Fit the adapter onto the designated tubing and glass filter without damaging the glass, check that the filter is immersed appropriately, and inspect the solvent line for air entry or blockage. The PTFE adapter itself is not the filtration medium and should not be described as a standalone 20 µm filter. Use compatible solvent-wetted components and replace distorted adapters as necessary.
