Answer:It is designed to remove water vapor from compatible GC carrier or detector gas supplies.
Answer:The trap uses 1/8-inch fittings and has a specified maximum pressure of 250 psig.
Answer:No. The specified model has no integrated visual indicator, so use appropriate service scheduling or gas quality monitoring.
The Agilent Big Moisture Trap is an in-line gas purifier for removing water vapor from gas supplies connected to compatible gas chromatography systems. It uses 1/8-inch gas fittings, has a maximum stated pressure of 250 psig and does not include a visual indicator. Removing moisture from carrier and detector gases helps protect GC stationary phases, inlet consumables and flow-path components from water-related deterioration while improving baseline stability during operation. The large trap body is suited to installations needing more moisture removal capacity than a small disposable gas cartridge. Place the purifier in the designated gas line with correctly rated fittings and tubing; installation must maintain gas purity and meet the laboratory's gas-safety requirements. Leak-test connections after installation and any subsequent service, and use an appropriate replacement interval or moisture-monitoring strategy because this model has no built-in saturation indicator. The trap removes water from gases; it does not serve as a liquid filter, oxygen trap or universal gas decontamination system.
