BD Pharmingen APC Mouse Anti-Human CD11a antibody detects the alpha-L integrin subunit using clone HI111. CD11a pairs with CD18 to form lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1), an adhesion receptor participating in leukocyte interactions with ICAM-bearing cells. CD11a is broadly expressed on human leukocytes and helps characterize adhesion-associated phenotypes when combined with CD3, CD14, CD19 or other lineage markers. The APC fluorochrome supports detection in a far-red channel with red-laser excitation, enabling separation from many blue-laser fluorochromes. For multicolor measurements, include single-color compensation controls and distinguish changes in surface abundance from changes in integrin activation or ligand-binding state. The reagent is specified at 20 µL per test. Analyze viable singlet populations and select appropriate negative gates to avoid interpreting nonspecific secondary events as genuine expression. Refrigerate the conjugate, keep it shielded from light and do not freeze.
