Answer:Nonviable cells with compromised membranes through nucleic acid staining.
Answer:2 mL of ready-to-use 7-AAD solution.
Answer:Yes. Its far-red fluorescence supports multicolor flow cytometry with FITC- and PE-labelled antibodies.
BD Pharmingen 7-aminoactinomycin D (7-AAD) is a ready-to-use fluorescent nucleic acid dye for identifying nonviable cells during flow cytometric analysis. Cells with compromised plasma membranes take up 7-AAD, allowing dead cells to be distinguished from intact viable populations. Its far-red fluorescence can be collected using an appropriate long-pass detection channel and combined with FITC- and PE-conjugated antibodies in multiparameter staining workflows. This 2 mL solution is used in cell-viability gating for immunophenotyping, cell-culture analysis and other research flow cytometry assays. The working reagent can be added directly to stained cell suspensions without an additional dilution step. Protect the dye from light during storage and handling. It is intended for research use rather than clinical diagnostic testing.
