Corning Costar 6-Well Ultra-Low Attachment Plates provide a nonadherent culture surface for suspension-based mammalian cell experiments. A covalently bonded hydrogel layer minimizes attachment to the flat-bottom polystyrene wells, helping cells remain in suspension and reducing protein adsorption and surface-induced cellular activation. Each clear plate has six wells, an included lid, and a recommended medium working volume of approximately 1.9–2.9 mL per well. The plates are gamma-irradiated, nonpyrogenic, and individually wrapped to support sterile laboratory handling. Applications include studies of nonadherent cells and selected three-dimensional or aggregate culture workflows where adhesion to conventional tissue-culture-treated plastic is undesirable. The flat-bottom format differs from specialized round-bottom spheroid plates designed to promote single centrally located aggregates.
