Answer:A 25 mm, 0.45 µm PTFE membrane in a polypropylene housing with female Luer-lock inlet and male Luer-slip outlet.
Answer:Fifty disposable syringe filters per case.
Corning 25 mm PTFE syringe filters are membrane filtration devices for compatible laboratory samples that require high chemical resistance. Each disposable polypropylene housing contains a 0.45 µm polytetrafluoroethylene membrane and has a female Luer-lock inlet with a male Luer-slip outlet. The filters are supplied nonsterile and bulk packaged, with 50 units per case. PTFE can be suitable for many organic solvent-containing samples used in chromatographic sample preparation; wetting behavior and solvent compatibility must still be checked for the specific liquid. These filters can remove particles before analytical injection but should not be represented as sterilizing-grade, sterile or individually packaged. Nominal 0.45 µm filtration does not assure removal of dissolved impurities or all microbial contaminants. Select a filter membrane appropriate to the sample matrix, avoid exceeding syringe-filter pressure limits, and discard the product after a single validated use. This configuration is not equivalent to the separate sterile 0.2 µm regenerated-cellulose syringe filter.
