Corning 15 mL polypropylene centrifuge tubes provide sterile, graduated vessels for collecting, mixing and centrifuging laboratory liquid samples. The clear conical tubes have orange high-density polyethylene plug seal caps, black printed graduations and a white identification area. Their polypropylene construction is suitable for many routine biological sample-handling workflows, subject to sample and chemical compatibility. The tubes are rated for a maximum relative centrifugal force of 12,000 × g when the centrifuge and rotor conditions are appropriate. They are sterile, nonpyrogenic and DNase-/RNase-free, supporting operations where contaminant control matters. The plug seal caps are pressure-tested, but the tubes should not be treated as unrestricted pressure vessels. Each rack contains 50 tubes, and one case contains 500. Use a balanced rotor, close caps correctly and follow the centrifuge manufacturer's operating limits. This is a rack-packed consumable tube supply, not bulk-packed tubes or a reusable laboratory bottle.
