Axygen® Impermamat sealing mats minimize evaporation in a wide range of temperatures in PCR and storage applications. ImpermaMats are chemically resistant, reusable sealing mats, that provide a high degree of confidence. For storage applications involving more aggressive solvents, they contain no adhesives or extractable to contaminate samples. Made of research-grade silicone, they can be autoclaved, and following a bleach wash and ethanol rinse protocol, they can also be reused. Application Note

The Axygen ImpermaMat Silicone Sealing Mat forms a reusable seal over 96 square-well deep-well plates used for compound storage, extraction and sample handling. Research-grade silicone provides chemical resistance for solutions containing DMSO and similar solvents without relying on adhesive layers. The tight-fitting mat helps control evaporation and limits movement of liquid between adjacent wells when it is fully seated on a compatible plate. Its alphanumeric surface markings simplify sample orientation and well identification. The sealing mat is suitable for temperatures from −80°C to +121°C and can be autoclaved. Reuse requires cleaning, including a bleach wash followed by an ethanol rinse, and inspection for damage or changes in sealing performance. Compatibility includes the Axygen square-well deep-well plate format. The product is supplied nonsterile, with ten mats per pack and fifty per case. Confirm fit before use with other plate designs.
