Answer:Each well provides approximately 9.5 cm² of tissue-culture-treated growth area.
Answer:Corning lists approximately 1.9–2.9 mL of medium per well, subject to the specific experiment.
Answer:The plates are sterile, individually wrapped and supplied with lids, with 50 plates per case.
Costar six-well cell culture plates provide six separate tissue-culture-treated polystyrene growth surfaces for adherent-cell propagation, transfection studies and microscopy-compatible laboratory workflows. Each well offers approximately 9.5 cm² of growth area with a nominal well capacity of 16.8 mL. A recommended medium volume of around 1.9–2.9 mL per well supports routine culture planning, although the optimal volume depends on the cell line and experiment. The flat-bottom wells permit visual observation of cell morphology and localized sampling or treatment across a small number of experimental conditions. Plates have individually coded wells and a nonreversible lid with condensation rings to help reduce accidental lid contact and condensate-related handling issues. Tissue-culture surface treatment improves cell attachment compared with untreated polystyrene. The plates are gamma-sterilized, nonpyrogenic, individually wrapped, and packaged 50 per case. Separate wells enable parallel conditions without transferring cells into different culture vessels.
