The Corning 96-well clear flat-bottom microplate combines a tissue-culture-treated polystyrene surface with a standard 96-well assay layout for parallel adherent-cell experiments. Transparent wells allow direct visual inspection and support compatible absorbance or transmitted-light measurements, while the flat-bottom geometry gives a uniform cell-growth area of approximately 0.32 cm² per well. Each well has a nominal total volume of 360 µL and a recommended working volume of approximately 75–200 µL, depending on the procedure. The surface treatment improves attachment of many anchorage-dependent cells compared with untreated polystyrene. A supplied lid helps protect cultures, and the individually wrapped sterile format supports workflows that minimize handling before use. The plate is provided as one sterile plate per package and 50 per case. Cell-seeding density, edge effects, evaporation and instrument compatibility remain important design variables for microscopy, cell viability and proliferation assays.
