Corning 15 mL conical centrifuge tubes are transparent polypropylene sample-handling vessels for centrifugation, sample preparation and routine laboratory transfers. Each tube has a conical bottom, molded graduations and a writable marking area, while the orange CentriStar cap provides an ergonomic threaded closure. The cap is made from high-density polyethylene, and the tube body is medical-grade polypropylene. The manufacturer specifies a maximum relative centrifugal force of 12,500 × g when the tubes are used under appropriate conditions with compatible rotors and adapters. A temperature range of −80 °C to 120 °C applies to the product material, but centrifugation and freezing workflows still require assessment of conditions and support hardware. Tubes are supplied sterile and nonpyrogenic and are manufactured to be RNase- and DNase-free. Rack-packed ordering provides 50 tubes per rack and 500 per case, simplifying sample preparation and bench organization.
