Corning® 1 L baffled Erlenmeyer flasks support suspension-cell and microbial culture on orbital shakers. The optically clear polycarbonate body makes it easier to observe cultures, while internal baffles promote mixing and gas transfer during agitation. Each disposable flask has a wide-mouth opening with a 43 mm threaded neck and an orange polypropylene vented cap that permits gas exchange in suitable shaker incubators. The product is gamma-sterilized, nonpyrogenic, and free from detectable RNase and DNase, reducing preparation steps for routine culture handling. Volume graduations appear at 50 mL intervals, and the flask can be used for culture expansion, media development, and inoculum preparation. This 1,000 mL capacity configuration is supplied as one flask per pack or 25 flasks per case.
