Answer:Both contain the same MabSelect PrismA Protein A resin; the 1 L pack supplies a smaller bulk volume for development and smaller column preparations.
Answer:Protein A affinity binding targets compatible antibody Fc regions, enabling selective capture from complex process samples.
Answer:No. The pack contains loose chromatography resin that must be packed into a compatible column and qualified for the intended method.
MabSelect PrismA Protein A affinity resin provides selective antibody capture in a 1 L bulk format suited to chromatography process development, pilot-scale purification and smaller process columns. The engineered ligand recognizes compatible Fc regions, while the agarose-based bead structure combines high dynamic binding capacity with flow characteristics appropriate for scalable capture operations. The resin supports repeated bind, wash, elute and clean cycles under properly defined operating conditions. High alkaline tolerance permits sodium hydroxide-based cleaning protocols, subject to validation for the particular feed stream and production strategy. The 1 L pack is useful when evaluating packing consistency, comparing capture conditions or preparing sufficient resin for repeated development runs before moving to larger column volumes. Column geometry, buffer conductivity, protein load and residence time remain key method variables. It is a bulk packing resin rather than a prepacked laboratory cartridge or a complete antibody purification kit.
