MBPTrap HP is a prepacked affinity chromatography column for purification of recombinant proteins fused to a maltose-binding protein (MBP) tag. The 5 mL column contains Dextrin Sepharose High Performance medium, which binds MBP-tagged targets under suitable aqueous buffer conditions. Elution can be achieved under mild conditions to support recovery of soluble proteins and, where appropriate, intact protein complexes. The format is useful for preparative purification after clarification of a cell lysate or another compatible sample stream. Monitor column pressure and binding performance, and use the recommended cleaning and regeneration conditions for the medium. The package contains one prepacked 5 mL column and is distinct from immobilized nickel columns used for His-tag purification.
