The Cytiva 5/16 inch male to 3.2 mm Snap union joins compatible chromatography connection formats within an ÄKTA pilot 600 flow path. One end provides a male 5/16 inch interface while the other uses the smaller 3.2 mm Snap connection system. This arrangement allows tubing or flow-path components with different connector styles to be integrated without mistaking the adapter for a valve. Correct matching is important because the 3.2 mm Snap format is distinct from the 4.8 mm format used elsewhere in the system. Check the mating ports and intended fluid-path diameter before assembling the connection. Keep the adapter clean, avoid side-loading or overtightening the mating joint, and verify full engagement of the Snap connection.
