Description

*Interactive process picture available for most standard systems. View data file | View industrial data file | Watch the video playlist Modules UNICORN™ 7 control software has four main modules: Administration , System Control , Method Editor and Evaluation . The Administration module is used to set up a system, add additional components, create/manage users of the database and perform database backup functions. System Control is used for viewing and interacting with active runs, engaging with the interactive process picture (if available), and for manual runs. The Method Editor is used to create methods (recipes) for your system, using predefined templates and phases or a text editor. The Evaluation module is used to view result files and perform analysis on the results. Methods and results are stored in a SQL database. You can install UNICORN™ software on individual computers or on a network to share methods and data between all users and systems. Additional modules and functionality Additional functionality can be added to fit your needs. Free plug-in extensions can be found on the Cytiva Marketplace site . Additional items may require a separate e-license. An extension can be added to UNICORN™ control software to streamline the execution of your design of experiments (DoE) plans with ÄKTA™ avant system. The UNICORN™ DoE integrate extension enables the automated integration of DoE experimental plans from your DoE software into UNICORN™ scouting runs. You’ll reduce the risk of errors and save time. The extension is compatible with most DoE software products on the market. See more information in the FAQ below. The UNICORN™ trending tool is used with the Evaluation module for comparison of data from high throughput rapid cycling runs. A Column Logbook license allows the user to track usage of each column to manage cleaning and replacement per the user’s SOP. The optional Evaluation Classic module has additional analysis tools for result files. e-License requirements Every system requires a workstation license, sold separately. For process development work with ÄKTA™ avant system, choose the ÄKTA™ avant workstation license. This license includes UNICORN™ client, UNICORN™ DoE integrate extension, Evaluation Classic , and Column Logbook . Access methods and results in the database from your office using a dry license. Access your systems from anywhere on the network using a remote license. For customers in academia, process development, manufacturing or when using the filtration or WAVE™ systems, license packages are available that include a set of e-licenses that provide typical functionality needed. See more details in the product specifications and ordering information section. Networking and database management UNICORN™ control software supports a network installation that allows remote control, floating licenses and centralized administration of data. An OPC UA server is also available as a separate licensed product. See the product documentation for more information on operating system and database requirements. Regulatory support UNICORN™ control software is technically compatible with the relevant sections of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 11 and is developed according to Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP) 5 guidelines. See the product documentation for more information. One platform. Many systems.
