The Cytiva CL4-NY nylon clamp is a quick-disconnect sanitary clamp for compatible 0.5 inch nominal tri-clamp connections, corresponding to the approximately 25 mm flange class. It holds two matching ferrules together around a correctly selected gasket in a bioprocess fluid assembly. Nylon construction differs from stainless steel clamps and should be selected with the system's approved pressure, temperature, and chemical-cleaning requirements in mind. The clamp is reusable where its condition and the process instructions permit, but it must be inspected for cracks, distortion, or weakened locking features before each installation. Seat the gasket between clean ferrules, position the clamp over both flanges, and close it without forcing misaligned parts. Verify that the assembled joint remains stable and leak-free under the relevant operating conditions. The clamp provides mechanical retention only; it is not a sterile barrier by itself and does not replace the gasket.
