Answer:Polystyrene with 96 wells per microplate.
Answer:100 microplates.
Answer:No. They hold solutions for automated sampling; molecular interactions are measured on separate SPR sensor chips.
Biacore 96-well microplates are sample-loading consumables for compatible automated surface plasmon resonance systems. The plates use a polystyrene 96-well format that organizes running buffer, analyte dilutions, controls and regeneration solutions for programmed injections. Consistent well positioning and plate handling help maintain sample traceability across screening, kinetic and affinity studies. The microplates are not SPR sensor chips and do not provide a protein-binding measurement surface; samples are transferred from the wells through the instrument fluidics to the sensor chip. A typical experimental layout includes blanks, concentration series and reference samples, with enough volume for the planned injections and instrument dead volume. Limit evaporation during long runs by using the appropriate compatible microplate foil or other specified cover. Check the instrument method for plate geometry and solution requirements before preparing an extensive series. The standard product is supplied as 100 polystyrene microplates, each with 96 wells.
