Biacore Rubber Caps Type 5 are penetrable, ventilated closures for 15 mm outer-diameter plastic sample vials in compatible SPR autosamplers. The caps are made of Kraton G, a styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene elastomer, and accommodate autosampler probe access without leaving the vial completely exposed. The ventilated design supports liquid aspiration while helping limit incidental splashing and external contamination. These closures are used when preparing individual analyte samples, assay controls, running solutions or regeneration reagents for an instrument tray. Cap selection must match the vial outer diameter and the specific sampling arrangement: Type 5 is the 15 mm version and is not interchangeable with Type 3 caps used on smaller vials. Apply each cap securely and avoid filling vials beyond the instrument's recommended working volume. The cap does not make a vial assembly sterile or chemically compatible with every solvent. The product is supplied as 400 individual caps.
