Answer:Three Mini Kleenpak capsules, each with a 0.2 µm Emflon PFR membrane and 280 cm² effective filtration area.
Answer:Primarily sterile air, process gas and vent filtration, rather than liquid-product sterilizing filtration.
Answer:½-inch Tri-Clamp/Tri-Clover-compatible sanitary connections; verify matching gaskets and mating hardware.
The Pall Emflon PFR membrane in Mini Kleenpak capsules is a compact hydrophobic gas-filtration solution for sterile air and vent service in compatible bioprocess equipment. The 0.2 µm sterilizing-grade membrane has 280 cm² effective filtration area, and the capsule uses ½-inch Tri-Clover-compatible process connections. Three capsules are supplied per box. Emflon PFR is designed primarily for air and gas service rather than final sterile filtration of liquid solutions; condensate management, gas flow, differential pressure and steam exposure must be considered for the intended application. Suitable uses include vessel venting and gas-line microbial barrier service when the process has been appropriately validated. Confirm the capsule installation direction, seal configuration, integrity-test method and compatible sterilization process. Sterilizing-grade media do not by themselves establish that an unopened product is supplied presterilized.
