Description

Application

The impacts of past, present and future ocean chemistry on predatory planktonic snails.: This study explores the influence of oceanic chemical changes on the biology and distribution of predatory planktonic snails, with calcein used as an indicator for tracking physiological responses in marine environments (Wall-Palmer et al., 2021).

Statocalcein, a stable Calcein indicator for the EDTA titration of calcium.: This article introduces ′Statocalcein′, a novel and stable calcein derivative designed for enhanced precision in the EDTA titration methods used for calcium detection in various chemical analyses (Hoyle and Diehl, 1972).

Evaluation of loop-mediated isothermal amplification assays for rapid detection of blaKPC producing Serratia spp. in clinical specimens: A prospective diagnostic accuracy study.: Although primarily focused on microbial identification, this study briefly mentions the use of calcein-based assays as a comparison to the loop-mediated isothermal amplification methods for rapid bacterial detection (Liu et al., 2021).

Rapid and Specific Detection of All Known Nipah virus Strains′ Sequences With Reverse Transcription-Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification.: This paper references the use of calcein in a comparative study to highlight the efficacy of novel viral detection methods, showcasing its application in enhancing visual detection in assay systems (Ma et al., 2019).
