Answer:Each HPTLC plate measures 10 × 10 cm and has a glass support.
Answer:The silica gel 60 stationary layer is 200 µm thick and includes an F254 fluorescence indicator.
Answer:25 glass-backed HPTLC plates per package.
Merck Supelco HPTLC Silica Gel 60 F254 Plates are glass-backed, high-performance thin-layer chromatography plates for planar chromatographic separation and comparison of sample components. Each plate measures 10 × 10 cm and carries a 200 µm silica gel 60 layer containing a fluorescence indicator responsive to 254 nm ultraviolet illumination. The fine silica particles and consistent layer geometry support reproducible development when the same sample application, mobile phase and chamber conditions are used. Apply standards and samples as compact spots or bands, allow the development solvent to migrate through the stationary phase and evaluate the resulting zones using a suitable visualization technique. Compounds that absorb at 254 nm can appear as dark zones against the fluorescent background. Store unused plates protected from moisture and contamination; avoid touching the sorbent surface. These are chromatographic analysis plates, not silica powder, preparative columns or cell-culture plates.
